1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

1.1 Location Data (Sensitive User Data)

Mishkat accesses your device's Approximate Location (Coarse) and Precise Location (Fine) when you grant permission.

• Purpose: To calculate exact Islamic prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) based on your geographic coordinates, and to determine the accurate Qibla compass direction towards the Kaaba in Makkah.
• Processing & Storage: Location coordinates are processed strictly on your local device using standard astronomical algorithms. We do not track your real-time movements, and we do not upload, store, or sell your location data to remote servers or third parties.

1.2 Audio & Notifications

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS & SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: Used to schedule and deliver timely Azan alerts, prayer notifications, and daily Islamic reminders.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE (Media Playback): Used solely to play Azan audio tracks cleanly when the prayer time arrives, even if the app is minimized.

1.3 Device & Diagnostic Information

We may access non-personal technical information such as device model, OS version, and language preference to ensure app compatibility and render localized content (English, Tamil, Sinhala, Arabic).

2. Third-Party Services

The App may utilize trusted third-party SDKs to facilitate essential app functionality:

• Google Play Services: For core platform functionality and app delivery.
• Supabase / Database Services: For fetching static Islamic content, calendar updates, and prayer time configuration data. No personally identifiable user information is stored.

These third-party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they handle data.

3. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

• Local Data: All your custom settings (notification choices, selected calculation methods, language preferences) are stored locally in your device's internal storage. You can delete all local data at any time by clearing the App's data in Android Settings or by uninstalling the App.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal or location data. We do not share your sensitive data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
